Say NO to GOOD and YES to the BEST in 2023…

-We’re living in a 24/7 world.

-Technology changes rapidly.

-Complexity in businesses increases.

-We face many issues in society.

-Our economy is volatile.

-We struggle to maintain a healthy work + life balance.

Many things can capture our attention and we can feel PULLED in more directions than we feel we can manage!

In order to thrive in 2023, it’s important to ZERO in on what’s MOST IMPORTANT. And not just that, but also…

●      why it’s most important,

●      how we will work toward it,

●      what the key priorities are, and

●      what things we’ll need to say NO to in order to KEEP these priorities as priorities.

WHO we are as a leader PERSONALLY, affects how we lead PROFESSIONALLY.

If we’re managing our lives well, it will STRENGTHEN our leadership at work.

If we’re NOT setting proper BOUNDARIES in our lives, it will affect our ability to lead well in the professional setting.

So, how do you find what’s most important? How do you decide when to say YES vs. NO?

Get clear on what your vision and core values are (in each area of life: work, relationships, etc.).

Once you know your vision and core values, set clear and measurable goals to achieve them—in each area of life.

Then, keep looking at them to make sure your vision, core values, and goals STILL RESONATE with you. If they do, then great!

If they no longer resonate, ask yourself these questions:

-> Am I spending time on good things that don’t align with my goals?

-> Is something better that has come along that requires me to adjust to my goals? If so, is it still aligned with my vision and core values?

-> What GOOD thing do I need to say NO to in order to say YES to the BEST? Am I still saying YES to the BEST?

It can be hard to say no to things, but it’s worth it when you realize you’re living a life that is aligned with your purpose and priorities.

It’s so important for leaders to do this deep work of self-awareness and personal alignment. Because WHO we are is HOW we lead!
