Results vs Relationship & Turnover Stats

by | Feb 24, 2021

Leadership is not just about RESULTS. It is also about RELATIONSHIP.

It is commonly accepted that high rates of ‘unwanted’ employee turnover is very costly. According to Gallup, employee turnover costs can range from one-half to two times an employee’s annual salary.

The survey also stated that “over 1/2 of exiting employees (51%) say that in the three months before they left, neither their manager nor any other leader spoke with them about their job satisfaction or future with the organization.”

This translates to a LACK OF RELATIONSHIP. As leaders, we must strike a healthy balance between ‘driving toward results’ while also staying in ‘relationship.’ We set the culture for our team…and we also have a direct impact on employee turnover.

What are some of the habits and routines that you practice to help you stay connected to your people?
