Being a leader is both a PRIVILEGE and a RESPONSIBILITY.
✅ A PRIVILEGE because it is an opportunity to speak into the lives of those we influence. To believe in them and the potential they may not even see in themselves. Also, to inspire them to BE and DO more than they thought possible. Furthermore, it is to celebrate with them when they succeed. And to help them capture and apply the learning when they fail.
✅ A RESPONSIBILITY because we ultimately set the tone for how our team will work together…for what is possible for the team & organization…we’re an example of how to navigate challenges and setbacks…and a model for others in how we guide our own life, our work, and our relationships.
In leadership, more is often caught than taught.
