You don’t have to give up your strength as a leader…

or give away participation trophies to your employees…

to effectively lead the next generation.

This is a huge myth.

Many of the leaders I’ve coached, especially in the manufacturing industry, have initially believed that moving from a traditional ‘boss’ to a ‘coach’ leader means giving up their work ethic, their values, showing up as weaker, or settling for less than great results.

They quickly learn that nothing could be further from the truth!

Yes, there has been a shift in employee expectations.

There have also been shifts in technology, the economy, social changes, etc.

But none of these things are insurmountable.

And for leaders who are willing to accept the challenge of growing – they will become the leaders who make transformational change in the marketplace and will positively impact the lives and work of those they lead.

No one has to give up their values.

Coach leaders simply learn to express them differently, and they make room for others to do the same.

This is the key to leading the next generation effectively.

And not only leading them, but fully engaging them to bring all of the potential, strengths and gifts THEY bring to the table.
